I started my travel journey almost three years ago when I realized what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I wanted to travel after I graduated no matter what. Whether I become a flight attendant or something freelance, I knew that getting out of the US of A and immersing myself in different cultures was going to be a part of my destiny. When I was fiddling around on the computer I stumbled upon an ad for teaching English abroad. I vividly remembered my 10th grade world history teacher telling us about his time teaching English in Mongolia and how much it changed his life. I remember being completely enthralled with the stories of his experiences but after years of forgetting I was re-intrigued after seeing the ad. I did my research and became more excited as I realized that I had finally found my path. As a senior, you can only imagine my excitement of knowing that this time next year I will be living in a new country.

After realizing my dream three years ago, I decided why wait until after graduation to start traveling when I could dip into it and start preparing now. With that thought, I started a YouTube channel called The Wanderlust Archives where I do travel vlogs and lifestyle videos. Since creating my channel, I have been to Spain, New Orleans, Orlando, and numerous places in Texas. I started this blog to accommodate my channel and I’m hoping I will be more motivated to travel around Texas and other states before I’m off on my big adventure next year.
